Our Story & Mission
A journey of 3 years, dedicated to protecting India's doctors and building a healthcare system that respects those who save lives.
Who We Are
Doctors Welfare Federation India (DWF India) was founded in 2023 by a group of visionary medical professionals who recognized the urgent need for a unified national organization to represent the interests of India's medical community.
Over the past 4 years, we have grown from a small group of members to a powerful federation of over 2,000 doctors across 7+ states — representing resident doctors, FMGs, medical officers, specialists, and senior physicians from government and private institutions.
We operate as a non-political, non-profit organization registered under the Societies Registration Act, with transparency and accountability at our core. Our governance includes an elected national executive, state committees, and specialized cells for legal aid, CME, FMG support, and welfare.

Our Vision
A healthcare India where every doctor practices with dignity, security, and professional pride — free from violence, exploitation, and systemic neglect — and where the welfare of healers is recognized as integral to the nation's health.
Our Mission
To promote excellence in medical practice, advance medical education, and advocate for the welfare of medical professionals while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Our Objectives
Eight guiding pillars that define every action DWF India takes.
Protect and promote the professional rights, dignity, and welfare of all doctors and healthcare workers in India
Provide legal assistance, counseling, and representation in medico-legal disputes and violence cases
Advocate for fair pay, service conditions, and career growth for government and private sector doctors
Organize CME programs, seminars, workshops, and conferences for professional development
Represent the medical fraternity in policy-making forums at national and state levels
Support foreign medical graduates (FMGs) in licensing, recognition, and integration processes
Build a strong, unified network of doctors across all specialties and regions of India
Promote healthcare reforms, patient safety, and evidence-based medical practice
